We are an amateur theatre group in the Mackenzie region of New Zealand. We are based in Fairlie but our members, cast and crew come from all parts of the district.

The Mackenzie Theatre Group produces an annual production, usually in the Autumn to fit around the farming calendar. Our productions can be plays, shows, musicals, variety shows - we love to tackle different projects and it keeps things interesting for our audience, cast and crew.

The Fairlie community is lucky to have a 160 seat theatre and this is the venue for the majority of our shows, although we have performed in other venues including our local museum which hosted our 2015 production.

The Mackenzie Theatre Group was proud to support Fairlie's 150th Anniversary celebrations in 2016. We produced a show (written by our chairman) celebrating the history of the township, and contributed to almost all the events that took place over the course of the celebrations.

We're always looking for like minded folk to join our group - either on the stage, behind the scenes or helping with administration. If you're keen to know more, get in touch by clicking below.
