There’s a little ditty they’re singing in the city… Perhaps the best-loved British musical of all time, Lionel Bart’s Oliver! returns to Fairlie this autumn in a new production, reimagined and refreshed since its previous showing here in 1988.

Bart’s most famous adaptation of the Charles Dickens classic has been delighting audiences since 1960, with its story of a young orphan set amongst the boisterous bustle of murky street life in Victorian London.

 

With a sensational score, including Food Glorious Food, Consider Yourself, You’ve Got to Pick-a-Pocket or Two, I’d Do Anything, Oom Pah Pah, As Long As He Needs Me and many more, this musical masterpiece vividly brings to life Dickens’ ever-popular story of the boy who asked for more.
